Visual Schedules Cards may be used to teach a child what task to do next and where in the room to go to do the task. Pictures of tasks may be sequenced into a visual schedule for a short part of the day or the entire day. The child is told “Check your schedule” and you use the picture to prompt the child to go to the intended location and to find the task materials. You will teach a child to work from left to right to reinforce the direction of print in English.
There are picture prompts to sequence the steps for using the restroom.

A work/break card shows that the child must complete tasks to earn a break.
